Even the darkness is not too dark for Thee Light
לכו שמעו ואספרה כל יראי אלוקים אשר עשה לנפשי אליו פי קראתי
ורומם תחת לשוני אוון אם ראיתי בליבי לא ישמע אדוניי אכן שמע
אלוקים הקשיב בקול תפילתי ברוך אלוקים אשר לא הסיר תפילתי
וחסדו מאיתי אם אסק שמים שם אתה ואציעה שאול הנך אשא כנפי
שחר אשכנה באחרית ים גם שם ידך תנחני ותאחזני ימינך ואומר אך
חושך ישופני ולילה אור בעדני גם חושך לא יחשיך ממך ולילה כיום
יאיר כחשכה כאורה ואתה אדוניי עד מתי חלצה נפשי הושיעני
למען חסדך כי שמע אדוניי קול בכיי בהתעטף עלי רוחי
אשפוך לפניו שיחי כבודי ומרים ראשי
Come, and hearken, all ye that fear God, and I will
declare what He hath done for my soul I cried unto
Him with my mouth, and He was extolled with my tongue.
If I had regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not
hear; But verily God hath heard; He hath attended to the
voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, who hath not turned
away my prayer, nor His mercy from me. If I ascend up into
heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in the nether-world,
behold, Thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there
would Thy hand lead me,and Thy right hand would hold
me. And if I say: 'Surely the darkness shall envelop me,
and the light about me shall be night';Even the darkness
is not too dark for Thee, but the night shineth as the day;
the darkness is even as the light. and Thou, O LORD, how long?
deliver my soul; save me for Thy mercy's sake. for the LORD
hath heard the voice of my weeping. When my spirit fainteth
within me I pour out before Him my speech.
